Title IX: Sexual Misconduct & Sex Discrimination

What is Title IX?

The federal law known as Title IX was enacted in 1972 to protect people from discrimination based on sex in education. This includes prohibiting unequal treatment based on sex or gender as well as sexual harassment, gender-based harassment and sexual violence at institutions receiving public funding. It is the mandate of the Office of Compliance and Diversity to oversee Title IX Compliance at the College and help if you or others experience any such issues.
