1.  Grant Writing Support – Dr. Preeti Chauhan (Psychology), OAR Grant Writing Fellow, will hold weekly office hours on Mondays, 3-4 p.m. to assist faculty with grant questions.  Zoom link HERE (Meeting ID: 823 7748 2244; Passcode: 857058). 2.  Faculty/Staff Student Engagement Fund supports faculty efforts to interact with students outside of the classroom (e.g., lunch with a group of students; a catered event for students, perhaps with an outside speaker). For more information and to apply, see: https://www.jjay.cuny.edu/fsse-application (for reimbursement, the application must precede the activity).


3.  Call for Nominations!  Feliks Gross and Henry Wasser Awards for Outstanding Research for Assistant Professors

Accepting nominations for the 2024 Feliks Gross Endowment awards for outstanding research (Feliks Gross and Henry Wasser awards). Deadline: March 15, 2024. The Feliks Gross and Henry Wasser awards are given to the most accomplished scholars among CUNY Assistant Professors - the competition is open to all CUNY tenure track Assistant Professor faculty. It’s the only award of its kind in all of CUNY.

     Faculty can be nominated by Chairpersons, Executive Officers, Deans or Provosts. CUNY faculty across all campuses are members of the CUNY Academy and can participate in, organize, or suggest events.

 

4.  Call for Applications!  Each year, the Office of Student Research & Creativity will award 3 or 4 Outstanding Faculty Mentor Awards to recognize faculty providing exceptional mentoring of students in scholarly research or creative work. Application deadline: April 15th. Awards are: Junior Mentor Award ($1200), Senior Mentor Award ($1500) and Lifetime Mentor Achievement Award (biennially; $2000). Self-nominations accepted. 5.  Call for Proposals!  The Faculty Opportunity Fund (FOF) supports full-time faculty members' professional development

  • Refer to the application form for information on award eligibility, the application process and criteria, and funding categories.
  • The FOF selection committee plans to evaluate applications 4-6 times per year, as needed:  Feb 1, April 1, June 1, Sept 1, Nov 1.
