Remmy Bahati - Research Communications Specialist
Remmy Bahati joined John Jay College’s Office for the Advancement of Research in 2023. As Research Communications Specialist, Remmy works to enhance and support scholarship at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, making the OAR a mouthpiece highlighting all of the exemplary work coming from John Jay’s research centers, faculty, and staff.
Before coming to John Jay, Remmy worked as a legal news assistant for Law360, monitoring Congress and federal and State courts across the United States. She also worked for the United Nations Secretariat in New York as a global communications fellow in the Department of Management, Strategy and Policy Compliance.
Remmy also graduated with a Research fellowship to work for the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia and Stanford Universities, where she researched ways Corporate Companies in America can transition to using 100% renewable energy. Richemont America has published her research report.
Remmy received her Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University in the City of New York and her B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Ndejje University. A television producer, video editor, and writer, she has contributed to Pass Blue, Columbia News Service, Daily Monitor, New York Times digital, NBS TV, TRT World, BBC, Huffington Post, and Citizen TV.
