Re: Health & Wellness Resources
This has been a challenging academic year for many of us and as our attention turns to final exams and Commencement, I write to share information about health and wellness resources available to students, faculty and staff.
If you are a student, our Wellness Center offers:
- Free, confidential individual and group counseling available on a walk-in or appointment basis. You can find more information here.
- Free, confidential on-campus and telehealth appointments with board-certified nurse practitioners. Click here for more information.
- Emergency grant funding to help you pay for essential expenses or tuition due to a temporary or unexpected hardship. Find more information here.
- A Food Pantry with free, nutritious food for you and your household. You can learn more here.
If you are a faculty or staff member, the CUNY Work/Life Program offers:
- Free, confidential mental health counseling and resources for employees and their family members.
- Free financial, health and wellness resources and consultations.
Additionally, WorkWell NYC offers NYC employees free nutrition resources, including cooking videos, health resources and fitness resources, including virtual fitness classes and gym discounts.
Please continue to listen to each other, learn from each other and respect each other. Congratulations to the Class of 2024, and I wish everyone a successful end to the 2023-24 academic year.
Warmly,
Karol V. Mason
