Marketing & Communications Team Wins Two Advertising Awards

John Jay’s Marketing & Communications team was honored with two Collegiate Advertising Awards, which recognize higher education organizations for excellence in communications, marketing, advertising and promotions of their schools. 

John Jay received a gold award for materials promoting the 2023 Champions of Justice event and a silver award for fundraising materials supporting the 2023 Soiree for Student Success. Submissions were reviewed and scored by a national panel of industry experts. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.

The Marketing & Communications team advances John Jay's strategic goals and builds and protects its reputation by creating compelling content that highlights John Jay’s strengths and shares John Jay’s story. Laura DeVries, creative director, led development of the winning entries, working closely with members of the Institutional Advancement team -- Ketura Parker, Steve Dercole and Megan Cerezo -- as well as members of the graphics design team -- Katy Freeman, Anastasia Parent and Praim Samsoondar.

Other award winners included Boston University, Clemson University, Colorado State University, Marquette University, Morehouse College, NYU, Stanford University, Syracuse University, Texas A&M, University of Texas, University of Colorado and UC San Diego.
