US News & World Report ranked John Jay’s Master’s of Public Administration Program first among public affairs programs at public colleges in New York City.

The program’s robust offerings include an MPA in Public Policy and Administration (on-campus and online), MPA in Inspection and Oversight (on-campus and online) and MPA and JD (dual degree in law and public accountability). Seventy-five percent of the program’s students identify as persons of diversity and 95% of its students are employed within six months of graduation. 

The rankings were based on a US News & World Report survey of deans, directors and department chairs in 271 master's programs in public affairs and administration. Respondents were asked to rate the academic quality of master's programs and scores for each school were totaled and divided by the number of respondents who rated that school.
