Please join us and meet Melisa Kong
Melissa Kong (she/her) is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with individuals, children and families. She is a New York native and is passionate about helping to improve the mental health and wellness of communities of color.
Melissa works as a Readjustment Counselor at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs where she provides counseling services to combat veterans, service members, and their families who are transitioning back to civilian life from active military duty. Melissa is a double CUNY alumna who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Developmental Counseling Psychology under the CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies (CUNY BA) Program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. In addition, she also completed a Post-Master’s Certificate in Advanced Assessment and Diagnosis from New York University.
