MPA Program Administration
Joseph Mahmud is the academic assessment manager for the MPA Program. He oversees assessment and accreditation, program recruitment, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement. Joseph is also an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Public Management and SHRM Chapter Advisor for John Jay College. He is a member of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Project Management Institute (PMI), and Pi Alpha Alpha (PAA).
Fatima Pujols is a senior academic advisor in the Department of Public Management at John Jay College. With over nine years of dedicated service within the department, Fatima is deeply committed to guiding students in setting academic goals and supporting them in achieving success throughout their educational journey. She is also an academic program coordinator for the department. Apart from her current responsibilities, she brings extensive public service experience gained from her previous role at the Dominican Embassy in New York. Furthermore, she has a background in translation and interpretation, coupled with years of work with underserved communities. Fatima earned her Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology, a Master of Public Administration in Inspection and Oversight, and a Master of Science in Protection Management.
Ms. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Temple University and a Master of Public Administration in Inspection and Oversight. She comes to the Department of Public Management with nineteen years’ experience in Academic Student Services at universities along the Eastern coast and another five years in general Student Services at Temple University. Most recently, she worked in the SEEK Academic Support Center for Humanities and Social Sciences here at John Jay.
