Graduate Courses

During this semester study-abroad program, there will an internship option, in conjunction with the traditional direct-matriculation semester abroad program, at the IDCARE Center. It will be a supervised placement one day per week for 10 weeks during the semester (offered fall and spring).  Students will receive 6 academic credits for completion of the internship. Students will be required to do additional work in preparation for and subsequent review of each placement day.  This placement suits highly motivated students looking for a career in cyber and identity security. In addition to the internship, students will take two courses of their choice at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

IDCARE serves as Australia and New Zealand’s national identity and cyber support service.  Funded by the government and industry, IDCARE is international unique in that it provides two critical functions: (1) National Case Management Center, during which interns work with assisting victims of identity theft, (2) National Identity Lab, which works on the world’s biggest cyber and identity security problems and emerging challenges.
